ABOUT ME

Born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia, USA, I’m the oldest of three sisters, obnoxiously friendly, and very funny. All things come in threes, including the number of items or adjectives I typically list in a sentence. Traveling, music, and dancing make me feel the most alive. I have an affinity for desert scenery, plants, and being in the sun for too long. I also like to write.

Since I was 16, after an eye-opening trip to Uganda, I’ve been making international adventures my number one educational pursuit. For years, all my vacation days, free time, and extra dollars have gone to exploring new places and meeting people around the world.

I lived abroad in Spain when I was 21 and had the chance to hop around Europe and Morocco. My long-time love of languages, and Hispanic culture in particular, is inspired by the immigrant communities I grew up around in the D.C. area. This passion has brought me to Latin America many times; to Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Costa Rica. During the pandemic, I went on a solo road trip for six months and visited 22 states and over 30 national and state parks in my home country.

I aim to spread cross-cultural awareness and mutual understanding with me wherever I go, connecting with others through stories, unexpected common ground, or enlightening differences.
